What are the paid rates for stagehands/riggers/loaders in the STAGE DEPARTMENT? For those NEW to us and NEW to stage work the rate is $9.00 hr.
For those with 100 or MORE hours with us- $10.40 hr.
Riggers- $16.00 hr.
Loaders- same as hands
Forklift Operator & Electrican-$13.40 hr.
SHOW CALL RATES:
Deckhand/Wardrobe/Loader/SpotOp- $11.15 hr
TRUSS SPOT OPS $16.00 HR (RIGGERS ONLY)
Forklift Operator/electrician- $14.15 HR
Further information:
ALL calls are based on a 4 hour minimum. If you work past the 4th hour you are then paid hourly.
Meal breaks are between the 4th and 5th hour.
FOR THOSE HIRED AS CHANGE OVER CREW MEMBERS: The rate paid for those hired by the stage dept for the Change over crew:
$10.40 hr 8AM - 12AM
$15.60 hr from 12am - 8am
For these calls we do pay on the half hour when cuts occur.
Currently we feed on the overnight change overs for those who stay on the call past 6 hours. If you are cut before the 6 hour mark on the overnight calls you are NOT fed.
Meals breaks during the day are normally between the 4th and 5th hour of work.
IF you are late you may be dismissed with no further work opportunities.
It is important that you call in when you will not be coming to work as with any other responsible job. If you don't show up and you fail to call in you will also be dismissed.
You must sign in at the start of the work day and sign out at the end of your work day. If you leave without signing out you will not be paid because to us you have not stayed the entire call and therefore we don't pay those who disappear.
If you need to leave early you need to tell your supervisor at the start of the work day. Do not send a friend to tell your supervisor, YOU must tell your supervisor first hand in person. If you fail to and then disappear after a meal break or a smoke break then you will not be paid (since agian you have disappeared to us and did not sign out) until you sign out. You may also be dismissed. WHEN IS PAY DAY? Pay dates are normally every 2 weeks (on the 15th and 30th of the month).
